Thursday afternoon on November 2nd, a kayaker on the Kings River spotted a submerged vehicle and notified the authorities. Reedley Fire Department, Fresno County Sheriff, CHP, Cal Fire, and Sequoia Safety Council all responded to the scene. The vehicle was a Nissan Frontier that is assumed to have been submerged for multiple days and had ties to a missing persons case. 

Reedley Fire responded their swift water team to make access to the vehicle and assess the scene. Unfortunately a body was found. Action towing was requested and arrived on scene later in the call to hook the vehicle and remove it from the river.
